The Rapids Theater originally opened in 1921 as The Bellevue Theater. It welcomed popular movies to Niagara Falls for decades, treating guests to both entertainment and beautiful décor. In 2009, the theater reopened after almost $2 million in renovations. Today, the building’s original art deco details, including wall columns, a sculpted ceiling and marble-accented lobby, are a beautiful backdrop for weddings and other special events.

Also included in the renovations were air conditioning, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems. Wedding receptions, corporate events and fundraisers at The Rapids Theater can seat up to 240 people. For cocktail receptions, capacity stretches to 400 guests.
